Meet the 2026 Fair Queen
Miss Sofia Kyle was crowned the 2026 Miss Shippensburg Fair Queen at the Fair's annual Queen Contest on Monday, July 20, 2026.
Sofia is the 16-year-old daughter of Sean and Erika Kyle of Shippensburg and the sister of Alyvia, Isabella, Liam, and Evan Kyle. She is entering her junior year at Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
Academically, Sofia is enrolled in the Ship Start program, allowing her to take college courses while continuing her Advanced Placement studies. She is actively involved in numerous school activities and organizations, including Student Council, the Math Honor Society, English Honor Society, Drama Club, Mini-THON, and the Student Athletic Trainer program.
Sofia is also a dedicated member of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School Marching Band, where she will serve as Drum Major this year. Through her leadership and involvement, she has become an active and engaged member of the school community.
Outside of school, Sofia works as a babysitter and enjoys spending time with children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, singing, and making memories with family and friends.
Following high school, Sofia plans to attend college to study pre-medicine with the goal of becoming a pediatric oncologist. She hopes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families facing cancer. Her sponsor is Memorial Lutheran Church.
Sofia has a busy but exciting year ahead of her as Shippensburg Community Fair Queen, which includes competing in the Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Competition in Hershey, PA in January 2027.
Taylor Timmons, 2026 Fair Sweetheart
2026 Fair Sweetheart
Miss Taylor Timmons serves as the 2026 Shippensburg Fair Sweetheart and alternate to the 2026 Fair Queen.
Taylor is the daughter of Michael and Darlene Timmons of Orrstown. She will be entering her senior year at Chambersburg Career Magnet School and Franklin County Career and Technology Center, where she is enrolled in the Cosmetology program.
Taylor is a member of the National Honor Society and is committed to serving her community through volunteerism and leadership. She is employed at Henry's Pharmacy, where she enjoys building meaningful relationships with members of the Shippensburg community and providing exceptional customer service.
Agriculture has been an important part of Taylor's life from a young age. Whether helping on her family's farm by throwing hay bales or assisting with feeding calves at her grandfather James Witter's farm, these experiences have instilled in her a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for agriculture and rural life.
Taylor has played softball since the age of nine. Through her years in the sport, she has developed valuable leadership skills and learned the importance of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance both on and off the field.
In her free time, Taylor enjoys playing softball, driving tractors, and spending time with family and friends. Following graduation, she plans to enter the workforce as a full-time cosmetologist. Her sponsor is Henry’s Pharmacy.
Along with the Fair Queen and rest of the royalty court, Taylor represents the Fair and town of Shippensburg in many events throughout the year including parades, children’s events, and other community activities!
