Meet the 2023 Fair Queen
Miss Lexi Boyd was selected as the 2023 Miss Shippensburg Fair Queen at the Fair's annual Queen Contest on Monday, July 24, 2023.
Lexi is the 17-year-old daughter of Ryan and Amber Boyd of Lurgan. In the fall, Lexi will be a senior at Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Lexi is a three-time varsity member of the cross country and track and field program. In CASHS, she is the treasurer of the National Spanish Honors Society and Student Government. Lexi is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and a member of CASHS Mini thon. Lexi is part of Just Wright Photography where she is a senior model for the company. Lexi works for Amber’s Country Catering Business in the summer. Her hobbies are painting, drawing, hiking, kayaking, walking her dog, playing cards, and hanging out with family and friends. Lexi is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and loves to travel. Her plans are to attend college to study physical therapy or law while continuing her running career.
Lexi has a long but exciting year ahead of her as Fair Queen, and is excited to participate in many parades and community events, as well as in the 2024 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Competition in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Lily Etter, 2023 Fair Sweetheart
2023 Fair Sweetheart
Miss Lily Etter serves as the 2023 Shippensburg Fair Sweetheart and alternate to the 2023 Fair Queen.
Lily is the daughter of Scott Etter and the late Cynthia Jefferson of Chambersburg. She is 17 years old and a junior at Shalom Christian Academy. In school, Lily has the honor and privilege to be the Class of 2024’s Vice President. Lily is a part of Shalom’s National Honor Society, Distinguished Honor Roll Student Program, Activities Planning Committee and helped lead the high school’s prayer group. Lily serves on her family’s tree farm, where every Christmas season, she gets the opportunity to help sell Christmas trees to hundreds of people from Franklin County. Some of Lily’s hobbies include playing softball, reading, learning Spanish, tutoring elementary students, spending time with family, and keeping an active lifestyle. After high school, Lily plans to attend a university close to home and major in nursing, where she will one day pursue a career as a Nurse Anesthetist.
Along with the Fair Queen and rest of the royalty court, Lily represents the Fair and town of Shippensburg in many events throughout the year including parades, children’s events, and other community activities!
