Fair learns of board member's death

The Shippensburg Community Fair is saddened to learn of the death of long-time Fair Board member and friend, Fred Dillner.  Fred passed away in his home on March 30, 2011.

Fred and his wife Rose have been a huge part of the Shippensburg Community Fair's development and success since its beginning.  Fred served as the fair treasurer for 37 years, from 1960 to 1996.  Even after his resignation as treasurer, Fred remained an active member of the Executive Committee where he provided his heartfelt guidance and leadership to the entire organization.  He was also heavily involved in the Shippensburg Corn Festival, as well as many other community events and activities.

Fred's sincerity, generosity, leadership and kind heart will be greatly missed by all.
