2011 Fair Queen Contestants
Jennifer
Adele Harfst is the daughter of Mary Harfst. She is 17
years old. She has two younger brothers Colin and Zachary. Jennifer will
be a senior year this upcoming school year and is an active member in
the SASHS band, percussion section, and has been a cheerleader since 3rd
grade. She continues to be active with the cheerleading program in the
High School. Jennifer is planning to attend college after
graduation with an aspiration of becoming an elementary school teacher.
She will be volunteering at Shippensburg University’s Elementary School
as a co-op student during the 2011-2012 school year to gain experience
in her desired work field. She is looking forward to this year as she
explores her college options and begins the decision making process. Jennifer is an active member at Mongul United
Brethren Church. There she assists in the church nursery and has
supported community outreach programs. She has also extended her service
to include missions work in Harrisburg working with a mobile food
ministry and in Brooklyn, New York where she served an impoverished
neighborhood in many capacities during her week there with a local youth
group.
In her spare time Jennifer enjoys reading,
camping, and hanging out with family and friends.
Jennifer
is currently employed by Spark Clean, commercial cleaning company and
also works part-time at Reisner Dining Hall on the Shippensburg
University campus. Jennifer is sponsored by Valley Counseling and
Consulting of Shippensburg. |
